Project Details

I sold the tickets and worked the door. I know exactly how a good night falls apart at eleven. Taptap is the system that holds it together.

Taptap is event software written by someone who worked events. Ticketing, guest lists, door scanning, and settlement sit in one workspace per organiser, on a single codebase that keeps pace as more teams sign on.

The Struggle

Guest lists on three different phones. Cash in a pouch. Someone's cousin at the entry who swears he is on the list. Nobody could tell you how many people were actually inside.

The System

So I built Taptap. Every organiser gets their own workspace, their own data, and one place that carries a night from ticket sale through to the door.

What We Did

  • Multitenant SaaS with an isolated workspace per organiser
  • Ticketing, guest lists, and door scanning in one flow
  • Architecture built for growth from the first commit
  • A dashboard that stays quick when a thousand people arrive at once

The door stops being the hard part. Organisers run the night from a phone and know their numbers before they go home.
