Project Details
Renting a scooty took three phone calls, two screenshots, and a photocopy of my licence. Rentie is what should have been there instead.
Every rental category wants different logic. A scooter goes by the hour, a room by the month, a camera by the day with a deposit against it. Rentie keeps that straight underneath, so the person listing never has to think about the plumbing.

The Struggle
Renting anything in a small city runs on WhatsApp and trust. Prices move on the spot, listings live in somebody's camera roll, and the paperwork takes longer than the ride.
The System
So I built Rentie. Scooters, cars, rooms, and gear each follow their own rules, and the owner runs all of it from a single screen.
What We Did
- Multitenant architecture, so each rental model runs in its own space
- One admin dashboard for listings, bookings, and payments
- Booking rules that change per category without new code
- An interface that stays fast as the catalogue grows
Owners list in minutes, renters book in seconds, and the platform holds its shape every time a new rental type is added.
